SecureLink would like to remind you that version 8.7 of the VSAPI file scanning engine for the following Microsoft Windows endpoint platforms will be reaching End of Support (EOS) on July 1, 2009:

SecureLink is strongly urging all eligible customers to update to VSAPI version 8.9 as soon as possible to maintain the most effective level of protection and avoid certain potential issues in the future as malware samples dramatically increase and the file pattern size continues to grow.
After July 1, 2009, customers who contact SecureLink technical support regarding VSAPI 8.7 issues will be asked to upgrade immediately to the latest version of VSAPI (currently version 8.950-1094) for further assistance.
The key feature of VSAPI version 8.9 for Windows endpoint users is the introduction of Dynamic Pattern Paging, which allows for substantial reductions in kernel memory usage (up to 70%) on systems utilising Trend Micro products. This is particularly significant for customers with lower memory environments in which kernel memory is at a premium for users.

SecureLink is committed to helping its customers ensure a smooth migration to the latest VSAPI version. Please do not hesitate to contact SecureLink technical support if you have any additional questions regarding this new VSAPI release.
