Jetair (World of TUI) needed a new solution for their Internet access:
The main goal was to increase the manageability, flexibility and reporting of Internet use and to decrease improper use of Internet connectivity. This should result in higher employee productivity and lower, if any, vulnerability coming from viruses, spyware, phishing sites, executables, and etcetera.
Although most of the 1200 Jetair employees were sufficient serviced with minimal flexibility of internet use, some users required more or full access to be able to consult all websites, read external email or download software. The use of multiple user group profiles was new in comparison to the existing open source solution and other competing vendors.
After a short study it became obvious that the Blue Coat solution was the most complete in the market. The combination of the Blue Coat SG appliance, the Blue Coat WebFilter and the Blue Coat AV (the Blue Coat gateway antivirus appliance) resulted in the ultimate line of defence against external and internal threats and misuse of the Internet.
